Easter

 So for Easter this year we decided to do a egg hunt and go downtown for some fun activities at The Grand.

Mya got her face painted she picked a brown dog :) she was very good, as long as she could see what the lady was doing she sat still so I had to sit there holding a mirror the whole time lol.

She met the Easter bunny and was super shy until I told her to show him her basket and special rock (she always finds a "special" rock) after that she told him all about her day and even gave him a hug.

We found out that Jade is a HUGE fan of balloons.   She got cranky every time Tom walked away from them.

 We got to decorate cookies.

 
 And we got to pet a tortoise.

When we got back home we hunted in the yard to see what the Easter bunny had hidden for us.

 After nap time we made some colorful eggs, Mya wasn't impressed with having to wait for them to change color.

 But she was very happy with the end result.

Potty Training

So it's coming up to Mya's 3rd birthday and preschool is on my mind but apart from the fact that you have to find the right one that fits all your annoying but totally necessary list of requirements and fits your budget they all or at least all the ones I have spoken too require your child to be potty trained, so the war against diapers begins.

3 weeks ago I started leaving her naked during the day and it was working but we where still having accidents specially when she was in timeout and wanted to get my attention then 2 weeks ago a good friend of mine Stephanie Beck posted a picture on facebook

Hmmm I thought I wonder if this would work with Mya? so I went to the website and found a potty time success chart and printed it out I found some pretty little hearts in my scrapbook stuff and off I went success chart, heart stickers and sticky tape in hand I headed for the bathroom.  Now we have tried stickers before and it hasn't worked so I was really skeptical but I didn't have any other idea's so we stuck it up on the wall and I told Mya fill in all the squares and you will get a prize.

IT WORKED

2 weeks no accidents and we are on our second chart yeah.  We go out without a diaper shopping, Gymnastics everywhere and she is doing so well here's hoping she keeps it up I'm so proud of my little girl :)
